Saturday August 2nd at Teignmouth Rugby Club
Teignmouth Jazz and Blues club is holding a one-day Blues Festival, headlined by the Greg Coulson Band.
Festivals were a regular part of Teign Jazz & Blues until the pandemic, and after some careful thought and planning they are making a return. This will be a smaller event, to test the water and ease our way back, but we’ve not skimped on the entertainment.
Headline Act

Greg Coulson is a British musical powerhouse – an expressive singer-songwriter and dynamic performer who blends soul and classic rock with the groove of blues, funk and jazz. Known for his mesmerising stage presence and unique sound, Greg has quickly established himself as one of the UK’s most exciting and versatile musicians.
The event, at Teignmouth Rugby Club, will feature three more Blues bands: with two popular local groups and something new… There will be a bar, of course, with the music indoors to avoid any trouble with those ‘surprise’ summer days of rain.

Kicking Off
The festival will kick off with Bishopsteignton band Sugar Shakers, who have a strong local following and specialise in 70s R&B. They’re guaranteed to get the day off to a flying start.
Keeping Us Grooving
Our other local band is the Vince Lee Big Combo from Plymouth. Adrien described Vince as a ‘stunning blues guitarist with roots in early Blues’.

Bringing something new

Northampton’s Paul Garner Band completes the line-up. This accomplished trio of guitar, keyboards and drums are new to Devon.
As we all our events, if you want to know more just get in touch. We’ll let everyone know when tickets are up for sale! We can’t wait to see you and enjoy some beautiful sunshine and incredible music.
