Local boy, Andy Knight, was persuaded that he had to live in London if he wanted to pursue his very promising career as a Blues guitarist and singer. So he did!Yet he’s kept up his old contacts here in the Styx and has now palled up with another stalwart of the local Blues scene, and a favourite of our audiences, Adam Sweet. They’re getting together with a master of the bass guitar, Ian Jennings, who has played with the likes of Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Van (the man) Morrison, to name but a few. Darren Crome, who’s been playing since the age of 10, is on drums.
This should be a stonking evening with both guitarists leading and singing separately, playing off each other and singing in harmony.Don’t forget that the Yacht club has a new Italian chef who’s offering authentic food like her ‘Nona’ made. Prebooking requiring but Arrive hungry! Doors open at 6.30 pm.
Bear in mind that Adam’s last gig at our other venue sold out, so book early to avoid disappointment.
