James Oliver is a superlative, busy and highly rated performer in blues circles, and in 2020 was named the UK Emerging Blues artist of the year. James has dominated the Welsh blues scene and burst out into the rest of the UK, and was introduced to us by other great blues acts whom we have put on, and promises to keep up the very high standard they have set!
James has recorded three albums and his online performances have attracted millions of youtube views. His last album stayed at the top of the Amazon music blues charts for three weeks running. More importantly he is an energetic and accomplished live musician and brings a cracking band.
The late, great Deke Leonard of Man/Iceberg fame was moved to say that "Speaking as a guitarist, James Oliver scares the hell out of me". And Bill Kirchen (the Titan of the Telecaster) adds: "James Oliver is the real deal, a passionate roots rocker loaded with guitar firepower".
