John Crampton

Date: 19/07/2018

Rarely seen outside the London area john visited us for  us at last year’s Jazz and Blues Festival where he knocked the audience back on its feet with a blistering performance that pulled the crowd in to  the extent that they were queuing on the stairs just to  hear him. So what do you know we just had to get him back!

John’s lifeblood goes back goes back  to the roots of blues, bluegrass and Americana but  sometimes course into more modern interpretations influenced by artistes like Ry  Cooder and Taj Mahal.  His authentic voice that’s like ‘rusted brandy in a diamond glass’ is backed by virtuoso playing of slide and other guitars, the Harp and banjo.   We can guarantee an earthquake at this rare appearance. The blues just does not get any better.
