Four of the best musicians in the region join forces to bring you an evening of standards with a twist. Maggie has not played for us for many years and goodness knows why we haven’t booked her. She is a wonderful singer of whom Jazz Journal International has said “…..has all the ingredients that a jazz singer requires; good intonation, a powerful voice with plenty in reserve if necessary.” With a long career which has included the Royal Variety Show. Backing her is the Jesse Molins trio with Jesse ( who played with us earlier this year), Coach York on drums and Martin Jenkins on organ. With their mesmerizing blend of jazz, funk, and Latin rhythms the evening will bring you an entertaining fusion of old and new jazz.
