We are fortunate to have their percussionist Demi Garcia Sabat to run a workshop in partnership with the Cave the next day.

Originally from Barcelona. London based since 1999. Demi studied at the London College of Music and is currently studying through ArtistWorks with jazz legend Peter Erskine. As a percussionist of international standing and the UK’s finest Flamenco workshop leader no one could be better placed to lead this exciting and enjoyable event. This is an introduction to Flamenco and rumba rhythms which are at the heart of many Latin music styles. Demi will be looking at cajon percussion techniques and hand clapping exercises. The class is not just for drummers and other musicians such as guitarists will find it expands their grasp of Latin beats.

Aimed at musicians of all types and of interest to fans of flamenco or dancers. Take part or just listen the choice is yours. Being percussion based we will provide a limited number of instruments (cajon, congas, bongos, djembe drums etc.), but you may wish to bring our own. If you have other percussion would be grateful if you could lend them for the day.
