Dave Jones’ Stratospheric

Date: 12/02/2026

After Al Swainger’s well received ambient gig,  we once again bring an exciting new project fusing jazz and prog rock. Composer and pianist Dave Jones returns to his love of prog rock and  brings together some of the best musicians in Wales and the Southwest in this exciting new project .

‘Stratospheric’ will be playing extended and more improvised versions of material from Dave’s recent acclaimed EPs ‘Stratospheric’ and ‘Spectrum Analysis’. The track ‘Trepidation / 74 Heist’ recently won Prog magazine’s Tracks of the Week feature, and BBC Introducing described the track as “A totally cosmic experience … a melange of excellence.” Prog magazine says of the ‘Spectrum Analysis’ EP – “… lovely chord changes and high-end guitar…”
Between them, Dave’s line-up for Teignmouth have worked with Portishead and Goldfrapp (and in solo projects with some of their band members), and Kasabian, Bob Berg, Sarah Jane Morris, Phil Gould (of Level 42), Andy Sheppard, Iain Ballamy Quartet, Kevin Figes, and James Taylor Quartet.

Expect an evening of magical ambient music . Totally contemporary and original with whispers of Pink Floyd and other bands of the past.  Check out their new album here Dave Jones’ ‘Stratospheric’ – Live in 2026
